Award Ceremony of Global Chinese Recitation Competition

On July 7th, the Cambodia Division Award Ceremony of the Global Chinese Recitation Competition, organized by the Chinese Language and Culture Education Foundation of China and undertaken by Dandelion Educational Service, was grandly held at the National Institute of Education.

The award ceremony officially commenced following the playing of the national anthems of both countries. At the event, the video showcasing the award-winning contestant's recitation captured their most memorable moments, earning resounding applause from the audience.

At the award ceremony, H.E. Dr. Hangchuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Education Youth and Sport, H.E. Chang Jian, Charge d'Affaires of the Embassy of China in Cambodia and H.E. MR. YU XIAO ,Secretary General of Chinese Language and Culture Education Foundation of China delivered speeches, congratulating the winners, thanking all participants, and expressing gratitude to the units and individuals who supported this competition.

Dr. Hangchuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Education Youth and Sport, expressed that the accomplishments of the students who secured awards in the global finals of the recitation competition are unmatched. He also encouraged students who did not fully showcase their talents in the competition to maintain their confidence and continue to improve. Furthermore, he noted that the growing number of Cambodians learning Chinese significantly fosters cultural exchanges and strengthens the cultural bonds between China and Cambodia.

Chang Jian, Charge d'Affaires of the Embassy of China in Cambodia, believes that the successful holding of the Cambodia Division of the Global Chinese Recitation Competition not only provides a platform for Chinese language learners in Cambodia to showcase themselves but also plays an active role in promoting Chinese language education and the spread of Chinese culture in Cambodia.MR. YU XIAO ,Secretary General of Chinese Language and Culture Education Foundation of China, mentioned in his speech video that the Cambodia division competition not only highlights the deep cultural exchanges and friendly cooperation between Cambodia and China, but also contributes positively to the cultural exchanges and mutual learning between the two civilizations. He hopes that Cambodian students passionate about learning Chinese will continue to dedicate themselves to building a high-quality, high-level, and high-standard Cambodia-China community with a shared future in the new era.

This competition, the Cambodia division had seven people winning awards in the globe finals, 5 gold prize winners, 5 silver prize winners, 5 bronze prize winners,,and 46 excellence prize winners. Additionally, 20 people won excellent instructor awards. Finally, the competition awarded 13 international schools and co-organizers.

We look forward to more cultural exchange activities in the future, so that the flowers of friendship between China and Cambodia will bloom more splendidly.
