2024 is the 'Cambodia China Cultural Exchange Year'. In order to further deepen cultural exchanges between China and Cambodia and consolidate the achievements of the "Visit Yunnan to Angkor" activity, the opening ceremony of the China Cambodia Cultural Corridor at Siem Reap International Airport in Cambodia was held on August 6th in Siem Reap, Cambodia, hosted by the Ministry of Information of the Kingdom of Cambodia, the Information Office of the Yunnan Provincial People's Government, and organized by the Yunnan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the Yunnan South Asia Southeast Asia Regional International Communication Center, and Yunnan Aviation Industry Investment Group Co., Ltd.

Officials in charge of the External Promotion Bureau of the State Council Information Office, State Secretary of the Ministry of Information of Cambodia, Qing Lian, and Vice Governor of Siem Reap Province, Ousenka, and other guests from China and Cambodia attended the event. Comrade Qing Lian, responsible for the External Promotion Bureau of the State Council Information Office and State Secretary of the Cambodian Ministry of Information, jointly unveiled the China Cambodia Cultural Corridor at Siem Reap Angkor International Airport.

The China Cambodia Cultural Corridor at Siem Reap Angkor International Airport is located in the international passenger departure area of the airport, including the "World Heritage Face to Face Civilization Mutual Learning Hand in Hand" themed photo exhibition and static display area. Among them, the themed photo exhibition mainly showcases 100 exquisite pictures from China and Cambodia, covering other Mekong River countries. The static display area revolves around three themes: embroidery, carving, and color, showcasing intangible cultural heritage exhibits from Yunnan, China and Cambodia. On the day of the launch of the China Cambodia Cultural Corridor, inheritors and actors of intangible cultural heritage from both China and Cambodia also held exhibitions and flash mob performances to interact with waiting tourists.

Since its opening in October last year, Siem Reap Angkor International Airport has effectively promoted the development of local tourism. In order to further leverage the window function of Siem Reap Angkor International Airport and unleash the benefits of China's 144 hour visa free transit policy, the "World Heritage Tour Plan" was released at the event site. The plan is themed "10 Days to See 10 World Heritage Sites" and aims to promote tourism products, routes, and services departing from Siem Reap Angkor International Airport and passing through Kunming to attract tourists from various countries to experience the charm of the Lancang Mekong region, fully enjoy the beautiful journey of China, and experience a "life called Yunnan".

On the 6th, Chinese and Cambodian guests also jointly launched the "The World is Beautiful Because of You" global collection of video stories in Cambodia, and the micro video "Journey of Cambodia and Cambodia" premiered.
